Summertime Snacks: Frozen Grapes Recipe

Summertime Snacks: Frozen Grapes Recipe

Some recipes are just mindlessly easy, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t just as tasty and refreshing as a dish that takes hours to prepare. Frozen grapes are the perfect summer snack at the pool or beach to help you beat your sweet tooth and the sunny heat! This is especially true because grapes contain natural chemicals that help your skin defend itself against sun damage.

This has got to be one of the easiest recipes around. You get that familiar grape flavor, but when frozen, grapes take on a sorbet-like texture. I think you could “discover” how to do this one on your own, it is so easy! So go grab some grapes and get ready to enjoy a sweet, cold, sun-protective, healthy, delicious treat!

KITCHEN UTENSILS

WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS

(Note: Use organic if possible)

Serves 2

2 cups seedless green or red grapes

STEPS TO SOMETHING DELICIOUS

First, wash your grapes and shake them gently to get some of the water off.  Pat dry with a towel and let sit for 15 minutes. Any excess moisture will turn the fruit into a giant fruit block. Next, either leave the grapes on the stem or pick the grapes off; it’s up to you. Place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper, or, if you don’t mind a few frozen clusters, place them in a freezer-safe container or bag. Place grapes in the freezer for at least 4-5 hours, or until frozen. There you go, that’s it! Note: Once frozen, if you used a baking sheet, place the grapes in a freezer-safe container and place back in the freezer.
